I heave a euphoric sign of relief when the word scholarship comes into play, considering the financial burden it takes off parents, my sponsors or me most especially. These companies in a way tend to give back to the community of region they serve, which brings us to the term corporate social responsibility (CSR). Some of the companies give laptops and other electronic useful gadgets to the students in the first year of payment but I cannot categorically tell you the exact company, but you could confirm from my Oga at the top (Google)

List Of Companies That Give Scholarships To Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students In Nigeria

MTN Nigeria (MTN Foundation Scholarship): The South African telecom giant operating in Nigeria gives qualified candidates in tertiary institutions for 200L Worth N200,000.

NNPC/Chevron- They offer N150,000 as scholarship to students per student per year

NNPC/Addax Scholarship: They give out scholarships to deserving students worth N100,000 per student per year.

Total E&P Scholarship for 100/200L: Here scholarships are given to qualified and deserving students in tertiary institutions in Nigeria. It’s a way of showing concern and encouraging the educational sector towards future development. Scholarship in cash is N150,000/student/year.

Exxon/Mobil- Exxon Mobil Corp. is an American multinational oil and gas corporation headquartered in Irving, Texas. Exxon Mobil, the 5th largest company in the world by revenue, the 2nd largest oil-producing company in Nigeria after shell, goes beyond its core duty by giving back to the region where it carries out operations. Exxon mobil supports the educational system by offering scholarships to deserving students in tertiary institutions STRICTLY for 100/200L. The scholarship is worth N150,000per person per year.

Shell Petroleum Development Company- Royal Dutch Shell Plc, popularly known as Shell, the largest oil producer in Nigeria and the 4 largest in the world, also regarded as one of the worlds most valuable companies is no surprise being on the list of companies that offers scholarships to undergraduates and post-graduate students in Nigeria. Shell offers scholarships worth N75,000 per student yearly.

ABC Transport Scholarship- Number one transport companies in Nigeria offers scholarships to 100 level students in Engineering, Transport management, Purchasing/Supply, Business Administration, Accountancy, Materials management, Human resources, Public Administration, Mass communication, Computer science. ABC offers scholarships worth N100,000 to students yearly.

Nigeria Agip Oil Company (NAOC) – A joint venture with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, majors in Oil Mining Leases (OML). They offer Worth N100,000 as scholarships to students in tertiary institutions in 100 and 200 level respectively

NLNG- Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Company gives scholarships worth N300,000 to 100 and 200 level students so long as their requirements are met.

SNEPCo Scholarship for 100l students: The Shell Nigeria Exploration Production Company (SNEPCo) for one to be qualified for SNEPCo scholarship,

  1. You must have successfully completed a secondary education, with a minimum of seven credits, including Mathematics and English, in their O/Levels
  2. Have gained admission during the 2013/2014 academic sessions in an accredited and approved university in Nigeria.
  3. Be enrolled full‐time, in a university in Nigeria at the undergraduate level with a minimum grade point average of 3.5 at the time of application.

NDDC Scholarship: Niger Delta Development Commission scholarship was set up mainly to empower aspiring post graduates in various fields ranging from Engineering, Medical Sciences (M.Sc. Public Health excluded), Computer Science/Technology, Geology, Geosciences, Environmental Sciences, Agriculture, Environmental or Gas/Oil Law, Project Management.
