Slaven Bilic Sacked

Slaven Bilic is the fourth manager sacked this Premier League season, joining Craig Shakespeare, Frank De Boer, and Ronald Koeman.

It’s been widely speculated that West Ham United will hire David Moyes to take the reins of the Premier League outfit, and the Irons have cut ties with Bilic’s entire staff aside from longtime Moyes assistant Chris Woods.

Bilic responded to the move:

“There are no hard feelings. I can be very proud of my work here,” Bilic said. “We didn’t start this crucial season well. As in many clubs across Europe, the manager is the one who pays the price. It’s a very logical move.”

West Ham lost 4-1 to Liverpool on Saturday, and ended the weekend in the relegation zone when Everton came back to beat Watford.

Bilic led West Ham to the Europa League in his first season in charge, but the Irons dipped to 11th last season. He finished with a record of 42W-30D-37L
