Mark Zuckerberg, the founder and CEO of Facebook, lost about a sixth of his net worth in July to Facebook’s sliding stock price. For one of the richest men in the world, that amount equated to $15.1 billion in loss.
Facebook stock closed at $217.50 a share and then dropped by 18 percent because of a disappointing second-quarter earnings report.

Forbes now estimates Mark Zuckerberg net worth to be about $67.1 billion, putting him at number six on the list of the richest people in the world.
The Facebook founder’s net worth seesawed in during his grilling on Capitol Hill in the wake of the company’s Cambridge Analytica data scandal back in April, too. Down from its peak of $79.5 billion on February 1 (before reports of the Cambridge Analytica leak emerged in March), Zuckerberg’s net worth hit a low point of $62.2 billion on March 27.
According to Recode, Zuckerberg sold $108.6 million worth of Facebook stock in February—marking the “beginning of a sales process Zuckerberg outlined in September, when he announced plans to ‘accelerate’ his stock sales over an 18-month period in order to ‘fully fund'” the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.
Zuckerberg established the limited-liability company with his wife, Priscilla Chan, in 2015, and within its first two years he had already sold $1.6 billion of Facebook stock to begin funding it.

Mark Zuckerberg is married to Priscilla Chan, an American paediatrician and philanthropist. She was born and raised in Massachusetts, she attended Harvard University for undergrad and received her medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). In December 2015, Chan and Zuckerberg pledged to donate 99 percent of their Facebook shares, valued at $45 billion, to the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, a political action company that focuses on health and education. As of 2016, they have pledged more than $4.6 billion to charities.

He said he felt confident that the risk of miscarrying was low so far into the pregnancy, after Chan had already suffered three miscarriages.
Their first child, Maxima Chan Zuckerberg or “Max”, was born on November 30, 2015. On August 28, 2017, they announced the birth of their second child called August.
The pair posted a picture of their family on Facebook, of course, with a message to their new daughter.
