Wike-and-yobo

The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike on Tuesday appointed  Ex Super Eagle captain Joseph Yobo  as  his Senior Special Assistant on Sports Development.

According to the Special Assistant to the Governor on Electronic Media Simeon Nwakaudu said the  former Nigeria captain’s appointment takes immediate effect.

Yobo  marked his retirement from football with a testimonial match in Port Harcourt on Friday.

The testimonial had former Eagles coach Amodu Shuaibu in charge of Team Nigeria while Team World was coached by David Moyes, who made Joseph Yobo his first signing at Everton in 2002.
